PSL 10 Kicks Off: Playoff Battles Commence Today

On May 21, Pakistan announced that the PSL season 10 matches will continue at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, where the playoff games for this edition of the tournament will start on Wednesday, May 21.

The leading team, Quetta Gladiators, will face off against the second-ranked Islamabad United in the Qualifier. The game begins at 7:30 pm, preceded by the coin toss at 7 pm. Meanwhile, Eliminator 1 will see Lahore Qalandars competing against Karachi Kings on Thursday, May 22nd, also starting at 7:30 pm.

The second eliminator match will take place between the team that loses in the qualifier and the winner of the first eliminatory game, set for Friday, May 23rd. This will be immediately followed by the championship’s finale on Sunday, May 25th. The defending champions, Islamabad United, are led by Sahibzada Farhan at bat, who leads all players with his impressive tally of 394 runs across ten games. His record includes one hundred and two fifties, earning him the prestigious Hanif Mohammad Cap. On the pitching front, Mohammad Abbas Afridi from the Kings stands out having secured seventeen wickets so far this season, thus holding onto the coveted Fazal Mahmood Cap title. Other notable bowlers include Abrar Ahmed from the Gladiators, Jason Holder from the United, and Hasan Ali from the Kings, each claiming fifteen wickets respectively.
